Happy Library Card Signup Month! Throughout the month of September, your Cromaine staff are celebrating the magic and enrichment that Library cards bring into the lives of our community– and we want to share some of that joy with you! This week, we asked our staff, “what’s the coolest thing your Library card gets you?”, and received some wonderful answers ranging from great books to audiobook access, items from the Library of Things, and more! “I think one of the coolest things people don't know about is the Corn Hole Game (Bean Bag Toss) available to borrow from the Library of Things. If you're having a party or a few houseguests and want to provide a little extra excitement to your backyard festivities, you can borrow it for the weekend without having to go out and buy one.”

“Thousands of movies, tv shows, and documentaries are available and waiting for your eyeballs to feast upon on Kanopy. There's always something new and interesting from cinema classics to artful A24 films to experimental films. Kanopy will undoubtedly alleviate your boredom and bring you joy.
Also, Creativebug is everything a crafter could want in a video lesson platform. I have yet to search for a craft and not have at least one pertinent lesson pop up. The lessons range from general, introductory level classes that teach the basics of a skill to highly specific, advanced level projects. Each lesson includes complete material lists and is taught by a knowledgeable, easy to understand expert. Whether you're looking to create a specific project, increase your skill level in one of your favorite artsy hobbies, or learn something entirely new, Creativebug will be there to help you.”

“I love the Libby App. I have found so many great audiobooks. I have the option to choose from several library's collections. I find new books and books I have missed in series as well. When I finish one book, the next book is right in my hand. It is great for traveling. I don't have to pack heavy books. I can also hook up to my car and listen to books while I drive.”
