Manage Your Account
Once you log in, you can view or renew your current loans, manage your holds, select your communication preferences and opt in to maintaining your check out record.
What’s My PIN?
Every library cardholder has a PIN (Personal Identification Number). Your PIN ensures the privacy of your library record. You will need your PIN to place holds on items or to review and/or renew items you currently have checked out.
The system automatically assigns a default PIN when you get your library card. The default is currently the last 4 digits of the phone number used to create your account.
If you are not sure what your PIN is, please come to the Check-Out Desk with your library card or identification and library staff can provide that information to you.

Materials checked out on your Cromaine Library card will automatically renew before their due date, allowing you extra time to enjoy your book, audiobook, or other media! Most items may be renewed a maximum of two times, and an item will not auto-renew if a hold is placed on that item from another patron. Blocks on your account, from lost or damaged items, will also prevent borrowed items from auto-renewing. Items that are owned by other libraries are subject to their own renewal policies as well.
If you would like to manually renew an item online, you can log in to the Library Catalog. Log in to your account with your Library card number and PIN, and select My Account, followed by Account Activity, to view your borrowed items. Select each item listed that you would like to renew manually, or simply select Renew All. Online renewal is available at all times– even when the Library is closed!
You can also call the Library anytime during open hours for information about your Library account. Call (810) 632 5200 ext. 102 to speak with our Circulation department.
Cromaine is proud to be a fine-free Library. While we do not charge late fees, patrons may incur charges for lost or damaged items. Please also keep in mind that other Libraries in the system may charge late fees, and that returning all materials on time is the best way to avoid charges of any kind.
We are grateful for items returned on time and in good condition, but we know that accidents happen. That’s why we implement a one-time forgiveness for a lost or damaged item that belongs to Cromaine Library. If a borrowed item is lost or damaged, don’t hesitate to reach out to us! We are happy to discuss your options with you and help you keep your Cromaine Library card in good standing.
After a one-time item forgiveness, borrowers are charged for materials deemed to be lost or damaged beyond repair. Per Library policy, material replacements must be approved before being accepted. In addition, a $5.00 processing fee is applied to each lost or damaged item. Accounts with replacement charges of $25.00 or higher are blocked until the charge is paid– then the card is returned to good standing.
Please remember to return your borrowed items in a timely fashion and in good condition. Prompt payment on lost or damaged material is expected and greatly appreciated!
If you do incur a fee, it can be paid at the circulation desk by cash, check, or credit card. Or, fines and charges over $5.00 can be paid online through the My Account tab on the Library Catalog.
Please review our Use of Library Services policy for additional information.
