Calling all 7th-12th graders! Did you know that Hartland’s Cromaine Library offers programs designed with you in mind? Every Thursday, join us for a variety of different activities.
The dawn of a new year is always a time where many people think about changes they would like to make or goals they would like to achieve. For me, one such goal at the beginning of each year has always been in the form of a book challenge.
There are many different options to choose from if you are interested in pursuing a book challenge in 2017. Perhaps you have a certain number of books in mind that you would like to complete this year, or may you would simply like to read more widely. The following are just a handful of the many challenges in which you can participate.
If you are looking for some tasty treats with a fun, winter theme, check out what we made during our Tween No-Bake Treat program last week! All three treats are simple enough that children can help, too.
If your child has a hard time in large groups, struggles with joint attention, or is sensitive to sensory overload but you would still like to give them the storytime experience, please join us for Sensory Storytime! This is an interactive program that encourages participation and movement. Stories, songs, flannel boards, and props are used to engage your child in the fun, and registration is limited to twelve children and their caregivers so the environment does not become too overwhelming for attendees.
Hartland’s Cromaine Library has developed two new series of programs for a cause: Needlehearts for Charity and Cromaine Cares.
Needlehearts for Charity occurs on the first Monday of every month from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. If you enjoy knitting, please join us as we make hats for chemotherapy and cancer patients.
Registration for winter programs at Cromaine begins on December 1st at 9 a.m. Please join us for a wide variety of activities for patrons of all ages including a Noon Year's Eve Party, Needlehearts for Charity, Santa Visit, storytimes, book clubs, and so much more! Please visit our Events calendar for full descriptions of our programs.
Are you looking for a fun activity to do with your little ones that will help them practice writing letters? Check out our Bookworm craft from Preschool Storytime! This can be used as a bookmark or simply as a fun item to play with.
